A Stitcher's Wardrobe: A Wingfeathers Outfit

This smock was sewn expressly for pairing with my Wingfeathers Shawl.

Another pin hidden away for those who like a surprise.

My skirt is cut from the same self drafted pattern as yesterday's denim skirt, but this time made in canvas, the kind found in heavy duty work clothes.

Deep deep flowery pockets make me feel like I have a secret, and I top-stitched the darts for the fun of it.

Okay, I surrender! I bought the Wingfeathers pattern. I can crochet, but it seems so much simpler than lace knitting that I don't do it very often. I have a skein of Dream in Color Baby (which I bought for another project, thinking it was red. It's orange). Should work out fine for this.

I have a new electric cord for my boyfriend's Singer, so I might actually be tempted to sew this weekend. (I have at least four working sewing machines, but this one is different! Sometimes that's all it takes.)

I love seeing your outfits! (and, yes, to deep pockets-my iPhone has fallen out many, many times) I've been getting back into sewing with the goal of making most of my clothes, eventually. Making an attempt at Wingfeathers also, though I am not much of a crocheter. I'm a big fan of Cal's, so I'm trying to teach myself how to follow the directions.
