Things I Learned from my Dad:

Do not follow convention unless it suits you perfectly.
Look at it from all sides, then decide.
Think.
Do.
Listen.
Make it if you can, if you want to.
Be honest and honorable.
Vote.

Wonder at love and family.
And wear sensible shoes.

Thank you Friends for your love and support. My Dad slipped away on Monday, at home, his way.

Oh, no, I'm so sorry, Ellen. I had a bad feeling that was the case when I saw this post. It's just so hard.

I'm so sorry for your loss. The things he taught you are all wonderful, thoughtful, real. Big hugs.

I'm very sorry, too. He sounds like a fine man; those are good and wise lessons to learn.
